Syrian refugees in Manchester, England have come together to help the flood victims and volunteered to build a defense against the river. They feel that it is the least that they can do for a community that has been so good to them.
“It shows that we are very much interested in not only becoming a part of British society, but also contributing to it.” – Yasser al-Jassem, a refugee who helped to arrange the volunteer effort
This is how humanism works. People help people and then those people return the favor and pay it forward. Not complicated.
